You and Me: Call for art lovers and collectors.
http://www.art-gallery-yona.com

You and Me, waves breaking on the shore Imprints made by the winds upon the desert sands Mountain and cliff textures, hundreds of millions of years old, Ripples of time. Nothing but the singular rhythms of an endless poem that Seems at times fleeting and at times everlasting. Romantic, Yes - Romanticism that tests reality. Mourning and adoring the ephemeral and craving the eternal. Romanticism without mysticism. Romanticism as texture, as rational expression. The ephemeral and the eternal The stillness and the ceaseless stream Spiritual and material intertwined Changing cycles Complex simplicity Whirlpool of endless poetry You and I exploit – the singular rhythms. And all is one. If you like this poem, You will love my neo- romantic art. Look for these sites: - http://www.art-gallery-yona.com and http://m.wix.com/yonalg/yona-arts-1

humor; analog humor
http://www.artmules.org/humor.html

Open Call for Entries humor; analog humor (the gallery is closed for the majority of the exhibition) Dates: October, 2012 Place: Tipton Gallery, 126 Spring St, Johnson City, TN Theme Humor and art have been infrequent partners at best. With both a philosophical interest in the nature of humor and its relationship to aesthetics, this exhibition invites artworks that may utilize a conceptual approach and are actually funny, occupying this middle ground between art and humor in ways that might be thought-provoking, absurd, or even just silly. Curatorial Criteria - all work must be funny. if you make the curator laugh, chuckle, wryly smile, or have a genuine humorous reaction, then it’s included. if not, it’s not. don’t worry: the curator has a very wide ranging sense of humor. except when it comes to woody allen movies which, for some reason, he just doesn’t get. - all work must be in analog form, nothing digital will be accepted; suggested analog forms include, but are not limited to: index cards, single sheets of paper, cassette tapes, small sculpture, airmail envelopes, 35mm slides, canned goods, morse code and anything else that you might think of. but it must be analog. no zeros and ones. - all of the work must be small. maximum size is one cubic foot (not one cubit foot). minimum size is the head of a pin. - all work must be signed. this also means that all work can be catalogued, so dates, dimensions, material, etc. must be either included separately with the entry or readily discernible. an online catalog of every object submitted will be published. - all work must be environmentally disposable. you can retrieve your work at the end of the show, or pay to have it shipped back, but it is expected that the vast majority of work will be trashed on the last day. we will provide the trash bags. Contact Scott Contreras-Koterbay, curator, for further information at scottkoterbay@gmail.com, editor@artmules.org. Or simply submit your work to Humor Exhibition, Scott Contreras-Koterbay, Box 70708, Department of Art & Design, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, TN, 37614

CALL FOR ENTRIES - Outside the White Cube
http://www.outsidethewhitecube.com

Outside the White Cube is an exciting new open exhibition offering artists an opportunity to have their work seen by top gallery owners and influential figures in the London Art Scene. The theme for the inaugural Bermondsey exhibition is: Outsiders' Celebration of Sport which can be interpreted in many ways - from the view point of those outside sport or sport organisations, looking in or at a game, individual or event involving sport; from the point of view of those outside the current swirl surrounding the games taking place in London; or by artists who may consider themselves 'outsiders' in the art world, creating artworks that deal with sport or athletes. The interpretation is intentionally broad, but the artwork must have some relation to sport. The Exhibition will be held from the 25 July – 10 August 2012. The gallery occupying 8,000 square feet, is known as the Bermondsey Project Space - and has featured a number of exhibitions over the past year curated by Edward Lucie-Smith and Mick Bateman. Proceeds from the Exhibition will benefit Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people, who also run a series of training and art workshops in the adjoining studios There is a limit of six entries per artist. Over the past 3 years the judges have stated that they find it easier to choose work by artists they have seen several entries from, as opposed to single entries. Therefore, in order to encourage multiple submissions, which are clearly to an artists' advantage, the fees for entries subsequent to the first submission have been reduced. The 2012 fees for online entries are: £20 for the first submission, and £12 for each additional entry, £18 for the first young artist (under 22 years) submission, and £8 for each additional entry. 2012 Prizes: Grand Prize - £1,500 Cash Prize, An Exhibition held in the Bermondsey Project Space First Place Prize - £1,000 Cash Prize, A professional iBook created about your work Runner-Up Prize - £750 Cash Prize Visitor's Choice Award - £750 Cash Prize Young Artist Award - £500 Cash Prize, A professional iBook Portfolio created about your work APPLY ONLINE Please see the website for full details and to register online. www.outsidethewhitecube.com

Call for submission: ‘’Project 2012 End Of The World exhibition’’ Part III (London and UK based artists ONLY / Digital Entries: Worldwide)
http://www.project2012exhibition.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/call-for-submi...

2012. Have we now entered the “final year” before the long-awaited Apocalypse? For many of us, this word means the complete destruction of Earth. But by looking at the etymology, the Apocalypse comes from the Greek word apokálypsis, which means “revelation” or “lifting of the veil”. It is the disclosure of something secret that has been hidden from us and that will finally be revealed. The idea behind Project 2012 is to use this theme to reflect on the way our society is leading towards. Wars, famines, global economic crisis and natural disasters are on the news on a daily basis threatening to bring our societies to a total collapse. Because let’s face it, the Apocalypse has already arrived in many parts of the world. We belong to the very privileged that can still use art as a way of reflection.
