Non-arts organizations (including colleges and universities) as well as arts organizations may apply for Project Support funding for a specific activity, such as an exhibition or music series, or for an ongoing arts program. Organizations must be incorporated in Connecticut for at least two years (three years for GOS) and have a minimum two-year history of public programming to be eligible. Projects eligible for funding must also have a two-year history. Applicants are required to match funds received from the Commission with cash income from other sources. GOS applicants must have a minimum operating income of $25,000 (3-year average). Projects require a minimum budget of $10,000. Georgia high school art educators are invited to submit student work to the annual Georgia High School Drawing Competition. Entries are judged by a panel of SCAD professors and alumni; selected work is featured in a juried exhibition at SCAD-Atlanta. Ten winners selected by the jury are offered scholarships to attend SCAD-Atlanta, SCAD-Savannah or SCAD e-Learning, upon application and admission to the college. Getty Conservation Guest Scholar Grants

The program at the Getty Conservation Institute supports new ideas and perspectives in the field of conservation, with an emphasis on the visual arts--including sites, buildings, and objects--and the theoretical underpinnings of the field. The program provides an opportunity for professionals to pursue scholarly research in an interdisciplinary manner across traditional boundaries in areas of wide general interest to the international conservation community. Guest scholars are in residence at the Getty Center for three to nine consecutive months.
