It is with great pleasure and pride that Patek Philippe welcomes you to the 'Watch Art Grand Exhibition' in London.

London holds a central position in the history of time recording - with Greenwich Mean Time having been internationally adopted as a global time standard in 1884. London is also very special and significant to Patek Philippe as it was during the Great Exhibition of 1851 that Queen Victoria, one of the first royal watch collectors and connoisseurs to be captivated by Patek Philippe, purchased pocket watches for herself and Prince Albert.

Since then London, and the UK as whole, has developed an important appreciation for the art of watchmaking, which has allowed Patek Philippe to develop strong business and friendship ties alike.

This unique exhibition offers a rare insider's perspective into the art of watchmaking within a family company. Visitors will be able to explore as many as 400 exhibits presented across 15 themed rooms. Occupying over 2000m², these areas recreate the world of Patek Philippe from the company's historic Geneva headquarters to its workshop and museum. On show is a complete collection of Patek Philippe timepieces, including complications and grand complications, ranging from perpetual calendars and minute repeaters to the Grand Master Chime, which was unveiled in 2014 to commemorate Patek Philippe's 175th jubilee. These can be seen alongside one-off pieces from the company's rare and historical collection including the first Swiss wristwatch ever created, made by Patek Philippe in 1868. Artisans will be on hand to demonstrate their unique rare handcrafts such as enamelling, guilloche work and precious stone setting. 'Watch Art' is designed as a captivating interactive exhibition which will ignite your passion for artisanship and deepen your knowledge of fine watchmaking.

This exceptional event will take you on a voyage through Patek Philippe's collections which encompass a 175 year tradition of innovation and independence, art and craftsmanship, aesthetic and passion - the values which have defined the company since it was founded in 1839.
