Department and information about the department

At UH we have a close-knit creative community all based on a single site, with productive links within the School of Art and Design, as well as with other parts of the University (especially the School of Film, Music and Media, which is the other School within the Faculty for the Creative and Cultural Industries). We value the range of talent and thinking that our students and staff bring with them, and we do all we can to make our School friendly and inclusive. We know how much excellent art and design depends upon co-operation.

Student Testimonials

"I really like mixed media and combining different things, so I came and looked round the Faculty and I just fell in love with it. Sometimes you can walk into a place and know that it’s going to be right for you and you just don’t really need to think about it any more than that"

Jane Reynolds, BA Hons Applied Arts
