For some, the College of the Arts is the birthplace of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the home of over 2,300 undergraduate and graduate art students, and the teaching laboratory for the regionâ€™s brightest minds and talented students. For others, it is the place where opera stars Deborah Voigt and Rod Gilfry received their training, or TV producer and â€śDesperate Housewivesâ€ť creator Marc Cherry learned the craft of theatre and script writing, For many other it is the reputation and success of graphic designers and animators in the entertainment industry.
