Ecoled Des Beaux-Arts De Valenciennes
The college was created in 1782 by Plevot Pujo de Morty under the name of Valenciennes L'Academie, dedicated to the studies of the arts, such as painting, sculpture, architecture and music. After a period of trial and error in revolution time, the college grew and expanded to the point of obtaining the prestigious painting award "Premier Grand Prix de Rome". Since then there had been 18 awards won by his students.
Today the college is one of the oldest and most prestigious school of Arts in France and its reknown for its high academic standard.
