Escola D’Art Y Superior De Disseny D’Alcoi

The origins of the Escola d’Art de Alcoi go back to the beginning of the 19th century. At that time the city of Alcoi went through an industrial revolution that overhauled its industrial sectors and was faced with the need to form a skilled local workforce. In response to this the Royal Factory of Paños, which represented local textile workers, created the Scientific-Artistic Establishment in 1828 in the first historical reference to an industrial teaching of the arts and crafts in the area. And thus began a series of measures and developments that would lead to the establishment, in 1982, of an official centre of arts and crafts dependent on the Ministry of Education.

Our curriculum clearly marks the school as a centre for the formation of designers with specialities in Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design and Interior Design. With the incorporation of the LOGSE in the late 1990s the curriculum has become even more varied with courses ranging from the Bachiller de Artes to university-level studies in design.

Information For  Undergraduates

The school has a wide variety of courses, especially in the field of design, and can boast an impressive track record in the formation of professionals that have been and continue to be sought after in the local labour market.
Courses range from the basic Bachiller de Artes to a complete cycle of LOGSE-standard courses training students as Technicians in the Visual Arts and Design. Students can further take Advanced-Level studies in Design, equivalent to the university diploma. Subjects available for study are:

How To Apply

Registration takes place in July. Students must print and complete a registration form (see below) and send it to the school via fax (+34 966 521 148) along with a photocopy of proof of identification.
