Escola De Artes Pablo Picasso

The teaching of Art in A Coruña started in the 19th century with Lineal Drawing classes in the Escuela de Navegación del Real Consulado.

After 1850 the Escuela de Bellas Artes was established with its headquarters in the Casa del Consulado and later at No.23 Calle San Andrés.

The Escuela de Bellas Artes became the Escuela de Artes e Industria, later named the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos, located in the Eusebio Da Guarda building where it remained until 1988 when it relocated to its own building on Calle Os Pelamios nº 2.
