Hewlett developed the anti-heroine comic character ‘Tankgirl’ which became a UK style icon and is recognized internationally.
Hewlett shared a flat with Blur's Damon Albarn and the pair came up with the idea of 'Gorillaz', a virtual band. The band’s debut self-titled album sold an impressive six million copies worldwide, making Gorillaz the most successful album ever by a virtual band.
The ‘Gorillaz’ have been nominated for ‘Best British Group’ and ‘Best Album’ at the Brits. At the Grammys, they have been nominated for Record of the Year, Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Urban/Alternative Performance, Producer of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video.

Student Life

This favourable geographical location, the town's proximity to London and its strong links with the nearby city of Brighton have all contributed to the thriving and bustling commercial centre that is Worthing today.

Worthing town centre is next to the seafront and is mostly pedestrianised, with a range of shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants. The beaches offer opportunities for watersports including windsurfing, kitesurfing and jet-skiing. Worthing also has several leisure centres and sports clubs.

Nearby Brighton

Worthing is less than 25 minutes by rail or road from the vibrant city of Brighton. Brighton has a wealth of leisure and entertainment facilities with more bars and restaurants per capita than any other city in Britain. The annual Brighton Festival and Fringe Festival make the city a hub for innovative culture, theatre and art. During the summer, the beach front...  [ Read All ]
