Our Aims

We are approaching the 70th anniversary of our college next year and we have much to be proud of in looking back at all the outstanding artists, scholars and educators that have passed through here. But in this competitive world we are primarily focused on the future and the students that are here and will soon be here. We believe that the Arts are integral to the education of all students and that all students should have access to the arts through performances, and exhibitions. To that end we offer a vast array of Arts experiences. Student Life

There's Something For Everyone
It won't be long before you find that Ohio University is a place where academic and personal growth go hand in hand. The majority of our students seek activities outside the classroom in student organizations, intramural sports, theater, band, student government, or residence hall functions. Outdoor enthusiasts will want to take note that Ohio University is located in the heart of Ohio's Hocking Hills region, and is surrounded by several state parks and the Wayne National Forest.

More than 350 organizations are registered annually with the Office of Student Activities. Many of these are clubs that directly relate to a major, while others involve religious or political interests, sports, community service, or honoraries.

The College offers an exclusive program that allows students to live in a dynamic on-campus residential community with other fine arts students.
