Symbiosis Institute Of Design (SID)

Symbiosis was established in 1971, the primary objective was to promote international understanding through quality education. Today Symbiosis is a family of 32 academic institutions spread over eight campuses in and around Pune. It draws students from various states of India as well as international students from forty different countries in the world.
Symbiosis Institute of Design was started in 2004, when management of Symbiosis realized the market need to start a design institute to offer Undergraduate courses in various disciplines of design. This requirement was primarily driven by the booming market scenario and the fact there was no design institute operating from this part of the country. Now it has come under the ambit of Symbiosis International University w.e.f. 10th November, 2006.
