Universidad Europea De Madrid, Escuela Superior De Arte Y Arquitectura

In 2000 the Universidad Europea de Madrid launched its Fine Arts degree within the Escuela Superior de Arte y Arquitectura. Since its creation the school has developed the hybrid character necessary for the convergence of its art and architectural wings.

In particular it is a school that is open to the phenomenon of modernity, encouraging knowledge and debate on emerging social and cultural activities as well as the profesionalisation of students, promoting exhibitions and collaborations with galleries and cultural institutions.

Special emphasis is placed on personalized teaching through smaller groups, tutorials, workshop activity and personalized follow-ups to the learning process for each student. Students are also given exposure to the professional world which we encourage by inviting social and professional organizations to participate in our activities.

Our Aims

Our aims are to give students a solid formation in the different techniques and processes of artistic creation (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, audiovisuals, new technologies and processes applied to arts), oriented towards acquiring knowledge, abilities and the capabilities that allow the student to enter the contemporary workforce.

We also strive to provide smaller groups (around 20 students in workshop activities and 40 in theoretical studies), which allow students to enjoy more personalized attention from teaching staff and to complete the course within the 4 years stated in the study plan.

Strong links to the professional world is a priority aim in the department. The school strives to put students in contact with different institutions relevant to their field of study.

Students are also encouraged to exhibit their work during the development of the course. Firstly, exhibitions within the university are organized, which serve as a dry run for the second half of the course when students are able to exhibit their work in institutions and renowned art centres such as the Casa de Velazquez and the Sala de Arte J...  [ Read All ]
