Camberwell College Of Arts

Camberwell College of Arts is part of University of the Arts London, an institution made up of six of the world's most prestigious art Colleges. Camberwell is one of the world's foremost art and design institutions and we've welcomed students to South London for over a century, many of whom have stayed on in the area making it the place for artists to live and work. In that time we've carved out a name for high quality teaching by leading practitioners - teaching that has put artists and designers on the road to international prominence and many others on the path to fulfilment in their chosen practice.

Students and visitors notice that Camberwell has a strong set of values - of equality and fairness, of respect and tolerance, a strong sense of place and connectedness with the world around us and a lively sense of enquiry and curiosity. We will open up new possibilities for you so that you can explore ground breaking and adventurous ideas.
Founded more than 100 years ago, Camberwell has a distinguished tradition, and has long been regarded as one of the country's leading art and design colleges.

Our Aims

Our mission is to be at the forefront of learning, creativity and practice in our specialist subjects.

Location and Getting there

Camberwell has central London and all its resources on its doorstep. Within easy reach - by bus, train or tube - you will find all the museums, galleries, arts and entertainment that one of the world's greatest capital cities has to offer.
The college itself is based at two sites - the main site on Peckham Road, and Wilson Road - both of which are a short walk from Camberwell Green. The many buses that run along Peckham Road (including a fleet of new 436 buses) can take you right into the heart of London within just 30 minutes. The area is also well served by trains, and there are four tube stations just a short bus ride away.

Peckham Road, Main Site: 45-65 Peckham Road, London, SE5 8UF - situated next door to the South London Gallery and near to the Town Hall, the main site is a large building facing directly onto Peckham Road.

Wilson Road Site: A large red-brick converted school building, the site is a five-minute walk from the main site. You will see St. Giles Church on the corner where Wilson Road meets Peckham Road, the building's entrance is on your left hand side as you walk up.
