Norwich University of the Arts offers creative undergraduate courses in the arts, design and media.

BA (Hons) Animation provides a professionally focused degree which will enables students to take advantage of the wealth of opportunities available to qualified animators. Working in the specialist workshops within the Media Lab they develop expertise in all aspects of traditional and digital 2D and 3D animation, sound design and editing.

BA (Hons) Architecture encourages students to investigate the local as a means to understanding the global. The course offers students the opportunity to study the subject within an art and design faculty in an architecturally distinguished location. The course addresses the key processes relevant to the planning, design and construction of buildings and other architectural structures and spaces.

BA (Hons) Fashion balances its focus between creativity and the development of the technical skills needed for a range of employment opportunities within an exciting and diverse fashion industry. The course combines conceptual and directional fashion design practices with a strong emphasis on creative pattern-cutting methods, professional garment construction techniques and couture levels of craftsmanship.

The distinctive and professionally focused BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production course welcomes enthusiastic students who are inspired by the possibilities of film and moving image and are driven to make their own contribution to the field. The course has gained recognition for its emphasis on supporting students to become original and inspirational storytellers and to develop high levels of creative and technical skill.

BA (Hons) Fine Art has a strong and well established reputation and alumni include Turner Prize nominees. Students are encouraged to push their practice through experimentation with different techniques and concepts. BA (Hons) Games Art and Design develops highly-skilled graduates in art, design and technology for AAA and indie studios. The curriculum focuses on the art of games and the idea of game form, enabling students to become confident in the core elements of digital game development and production – art, design and technology.

BA (Hons) Graphic Design places great emphasis on supporting students to not only develop core competences in design but more importantly to be original and creative thinkers. The development of ideas is the fundamental cornerstone of the course and it is this approach that has contributed to its excellent reputation within the design industry.

BA (Hons) Illustration has developed a strong reputation for supporting students to become confident and distinctive professional illustrators and work in other closely linked professions. The course enables students to produce original and thought-provoking work for a range of sectors including publishing and editorial (book and magazine illustration), advertising, corporate communications and new media.

BA (Hons) Photography is a commercially driven course which provides students with the expert tuition and facilities necessary to pursue a rewarding career in professional photography. The course is renowned for its strengths in advertising, editorial and fashion photography.

BA (Hons) Textiles provides a combined approach in which students develop their creativity as a designer and strengthen their technical skills in a range of practices. They are encouraged to experiment, explore new techniques and develop their practice as they grow in confidence as textile designers.
