- Vassar College

What we’d really like is for you to pay us a visit — because the Vassar campus is pretty spectacular, and because we’d like to give high school seniors the opportunity to sit in on a class or stay overnight in a dorm (space is limited; please reserve online well in advance of your visit). If you can't arrange that right away, you might want to take our online campus tour -

Information Sessions and Campus Tours Students and their families are invited to participate in Vassar’s information sessions, in which a member of the admission staff and current Vassar students answer questions and discuss all aspects of a Vassar education. Students and their families are also invited to take a student-led tour of the campus. Tours and sessions are held at least once each weekday throughout the year, and most Saturdays in the spring and fall. Appointments are necessary only for groups of 10 or more, but please consult our office schedule to avoid missing us during a holiday or as our schedule changes during the season.

Fall Open House Vassar offers enhanced tour scheduling and extra information sessions on Monday, October 8, 2007 and Friday, November 9, 2007. Morning and afternoon sessions contain the same information, and the schedules on each day are the same as well. Unfortunately, we cannot arrange class visits during Open House, because of the volume of visitors on campus. However, you are encouraged to arrange a class visit with us on another date.

Class Visits Vassar professors welcome prospective applicants as visitors in most classes; for information regarding class visits, please make your reservation at least 10 days before your visit. Reservations can be made here.

Overnight Visits The Admission Office also sponsors an overnight visitation program, which gives prospective seniors a chance to spend a night in a residence hall, hosted by a Vassar student. Make your reservation at least 10 days in advance.
