I had been to this location minnow seining and knew this scene would be a fabulous painting. I wanted to capture it with autumn colors and when I returned it had been posted no trespassing. Determined to get to this location again, I inquired and was told by a hunting authority if you stayed in the water it technically wasn’t private property, so I found a spot far down the road where I could enter the water and waded until I found this scene again, and it was almost dark before I found my way back out, but several miles further down the road.
