Art work Description:
Bridget studied at Goldsmith’s and the Royal College in the 50’s yet did not find her form and the style for which she is now famous until 1960. Her monochrome ‘Op’ paintings inspired a decade of popular graphic, however she struggled to find a development of her style. Nevertheless by the end of the 60’s she escaped into colour, and won the International Prize for Painting Venice. (The first English contemporary painter and fist woman to achieve this distinction.)
