Artist: Richard Crichton
Created On: 1995
Image Medium: oil on canvas
Image Dimensions: 91 x 122 cm
Art work Description:
Richard Crichton's interest in ancient cultures, ancient marks and symbols, either Celtic or indigenous Australian, has led him to look for visual and emotional links and common threads. The paintings suggest that everyone is, and has been, on some separate journey of migration: from one culture to another, from one person to another, from within the mind itself to another place in the mind, one abandoned destination to a fresh one. extract from an essay by Ron Millar, 2002
