Art work Description:
The installation questions tourism, tradition, and commercialism. Is a souvenir from a foreign country authentic? Or is it the personal association, the illusion that makes kitsch and trivial treasure to collectors items? Is it reduced to quantity, without quality? Must is be cheap? Is the article especially produced for the tourist? Each of the items in the installation was photographed before being wrapped, a slide showdocuments the contents, of all sixty-nine parcels.
