Art work Description:
Following the events of the exhibition “trilogy” of 2006 (“Journeyman”, “A short history of head wear”, and “Sanctus”), I find that both my work and my explorations within myself are taking an unexpected turn. As a practicing contemporary artist, there are times when artists from the past bubble to the surface of your cerebral creative casserole pot, and demand to be acknowledged. The best one can do is to accommodate them as best you can, without spoiling the broth. Presently, Goya and Bosch are making themselves known to me, and gloomy, mysterious, heavily draped portals to destinations unknown are being revealed to me gradually… and into them I must venture. I have no doubt that both good and evil dwell in these places. The results will be manifesting themselves presently. Alasdair Macintyre 2006
