Artist: Javier Abdala
Image Medium: Painted Tree Fork
Image Dimensions: 69 x 44 x 33 cm
Art work Description:
"These are forks, and it is important that they be forks”. The process when trying to isolate and frame that right angle between a tree trunk and a branch that he discovered is what makes the result creative. He creates a sequence: “I turn the fork round until I find an angle and make the cut.” “Framing is also important.” Each figure, either because of its beak, its glove, its antennae, a radar or a flight log, breaks the frame and is no longer imprisoned. Then he acts without invading. “I add color and make more little additions, following an impulse. Without them, something would be missing.”
