Dvir Gallery

Dvir Gallery was established in 1982 by Dvir Intrator
Motivated by a sheer desire to introduce cutting-edge voices of contemporary art, Dvir Gallery's curatorial program invites both Israeli and foreign audiences to view local and international artists who create in a wide range of artistic forms. The gallery's artists come from different generations and diverse geographies. Projects with overseas artists are realized under the framework of an exclusive private residency program which was established by the gallery over a decade ago. The vision behind this exchange was to enable a dialogue between Israeli and international artists, between diverse points of view and artistic practices. (Among the artists invited: Adel Abdessemed, Mircea Cantor, Douglas Gordon, Nedko Solakov, Lawrence Weiner and others).

In 2009, the gallery opened two additional spaces, Hangar 2 (Jaffa Port) and Nitzana 11 (Tel Aviv).
