MARGARET ACKLAND Histories February 22 - March 12
Ackland explores the symbolic weight of clothing - how it can make us appear or disappear, how it can control, constrain, mask, titillate, make external what is internal, and hide what is otherwise obvious. In examining the ways that identity is formally created and structured by the clothing that we wear, the intangible and evocative relationship between the self and its garments is also brought to life.

KARLEE RAWKINS Dark Wood Land March 15 - April 2
Underpinning Karlee Rawkins’ poignant imagery of wildlife and flora is a concern to examine the symbolic and totemic significance nature occupies within the human psyche. Interested in the ways people relate to animals, this new body of work focuses on characters found within the Victoria & Albert Museum’s 15th Century hunting tapestries. |
