La Courette opened in the summer of 2006. Our season runs from April to October. Located in the south of France, a half-hour north of Nimes, we are a small gallery exclusively devoted to contemporary painting. The gallery adjoins a cafe and B&B, and functions as a seasonal summer residency where artists are invited to show their work. We are a non-profit organization which is unconcerned with the art market but very much concerned with the continued role of painting as a central feature in the development of Western Civilization.
