Pecherskiy Gallery was founded by Marina Pecherskiy in January 2011. Since that time, the Gallery has held several successful exhibitions, participated in a parallel collaboration—the 4th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art—and participated in the Kiev Art Fair with great success.
In late 2011, Pecherskiy Gallery initiated a joint project with Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe, (one of the most popular Russian artists), and Arthronika Magazine (the premier Russian art publication). “Remember about Gas!”—a project based on the Gas Wars between Russia and Ukraine from 2005-2009—was featured in the December 2011 (#10) issue, and has aroused great public interest.
Pecherskiy Gallery is a very young institution based in Moscow, a city in which the art market is still in its infancy, despite a great general desire for its development. The Gallery’s main mission is to support this growth.
