"HUMIDITY" - A series of Abstract Canvases on the subject of Humidity in The Tropics....

"Singapore has a constant companion in it's steamy, sultry, irriguous, equatorial dampness. Located just 1 degree north of the equator, our climate is characterized, 365 days a year, by relatively uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity and abundant rainfall"
This latest body of abstract painting work is my ongoing exploration of the concept of colour and form in humidity which is a constantly changing entity we all experience here in the tropics.

"So I'm promoting a new Art movement amongst my close circle of artists: "Tropical Modernist Expressionism" The tropical modernist expressionists are a growing group of multi-disciplined artists working or visiting/working in Australasia. The influences of an equatorial climate and lifestyle, the unique culture, Art, Design, Literature, Travel, Photography, Food, Economics, History and People of the region all add momentum to this unique group and the significance of their work in the passage of time. In my role as professional multimedia artist, gallery owner and art mentor to a growing group based in Singapore, I am inspired to record this passionate slice of art history.
