African Art - New Expressions And Ancient Ceremonies

The pieces in our collection are mostly from established contemporary African artists although we are always on the look-out for emerging talent. A number of our pieces are more direct in expression and emotion than one would encounter in Western or Eastern art. This can be refreshing for individuals who have an unusual item on their wish list. Most of the pieces in our collection are collector's items.

Many of the pieces we sell have been exhibited previously in leading museums, galleries and art fairs worldwide. These include the former New Museum of African Art, New York; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Musee Rodin, Paris; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris; Goodman Gallery, South Africa; Sotheby's Johannesburg; and the Osaka Art and Contemporary Culture Center, Japan.

Although we are a web gallery at present, we have exhibited our entire collection in the past in compact shows. Not all pieces are for sale.
