| f-art was established in 2005 by Richard Boxall and Stephen Davids stemming from a mutual passion for graphic design, vintage nostalgia and contemporary pop culture. The space was created in order to show everyday objects, assemblage sculpture, and prints and paintings with a strong graphic feel, by a variety of independent artists from across Europe, the UK and the USA. The name of the gallery, f-art, in its ambiguities leads the way for the thought provoking and quirky nature of the objects within. F-art challenges the visitor to reconsider the role everyday objects, phrases and images play in our lives and to see that a lamp can be a thing of beauty and a faucet can be sculpture. F-art exists as both an online environment and gallery which celebrates surprising juxtapositions linked in a sense of playfulness and joy for the unexpected.
