A Foundation

A Foundation was established by James Moores in 1998. The primary purpose of A Foundation is to support the development, production and exhibition of contemporary visual art.
In 2006, A Foundation Liverpool launched an arts centre in three former industrial buildings in the Old Port area of Liverpool which includes 2500sqm of exhibition space, a cafe and a specialist arts bookshop.

In addition to activities in Liverpool, A Foundation has now established a sister venue at Rochelle School in Shoreditch, London. The school has been refurbished to provide studios for artists and creative industries plus a gallery and project space in Club Row.
