Press Releases

AC Galeria de Arte is focused on artists. AC Art Gallery has invited five Brazilian artists -- Cláudio Tozzi, Gilberto Salvador, Luiz Paulo Baravelli, Marcello Nitsche and Samuel Szpigel -- to participate in an exhibition juxtaposing influential historical and current work.

In the 1960s and '70s, Brazilian visual arts experienced a turbulent time, attempting to define the political context of the country within the framework of contemporary ads, movies, comic books and music. Through painting and sculpture, these five artists addressed the political and social dialog of that era. This exhibit will explore their artistic production of that time as well as their present-day output, demonstrating a continued vitality that still speaks to the contemporary nature of Brazilian society.

We would like to invite you to the opening of “Two Times”, on May 6th, at 19:30hs.
