Front projects is a newly established project space in a flat in east London.

Our main aim is to operate as a platform for creative expression within the field of contemporary art, putting emphasis on multidiscipline practice, including new media, performance art and new approaches within painting, drawing and sculpture.

Front projects present its first exhibition ever "Breaking the mould picking up the fragments".
Brought together are a group of artists consisting of two painters, two sculptures and one drawing/performance artist.
What these artists have in common is their investigating nature. They all approach their subject matter in an almost scientific way, by breaking down barriers and segmenting the work before building it up again.

Nathan Edmunds practice is concerned with the suburban landscape, his work, meticulous in its construction, explores the aesthetics of billboards, industrial parks, motorways and social housing. His photographs and Sculptures reveal the artificiality of our own Surroundings, while addressing issues of distribution of wealth and marginalization.

Nathan Edmunds is currently undertaking an MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design and has exhibited in Mariakapel, Hoorn, Netherlands and widely throughout the UK.

Ayan Farah's work explores private and emotional space, isolation, relocation, transitional states, time suspension and connection with environment and nature. She draws on her cultural ... [ Read all ]
