Godot Gallery

Contemporary Fine Art
Godot Gallery has been organizing exhibitions in its two-storey building in the centre of Budapest since 1999.

In preparation for an exhibition, our priority is to consider professional points of view and quality requirements. We make an effort to balance the presentation of figurative and non-figurative works of art. In our gallery, we give room to young talents at the beginning of their careers, as well as to more mature, renowned artists. Although we have shown all mediums of contemporary art, our exhibitions have mainly focused on traditional genres, such as painting and graphic art. Our programme provides regular exhibitions to the artists of the Gallery. In addition, we arrange thematic group shows, and introduce other artists closely fitting into the structure of exhibitions at Godot.

An important element in our exhibition programme is a series presenting Contemporary Private Collections, by means of which we try to draw attention to the great monetary sacrifice some private citizens make in order to found a collection, to collect and exhibit artistic values.
