Leo Kamen Gallery

The Leo Kamen Gallery was established by Leo Kamen in 1985. It was first located on the second floor of a refurbished industrial building in Toronto's old garment district at King St. West and Spadina Avenue, then moved in 1990 to the 4th floor of the same building, where it has remained since. The gallery is known for its hardwood floors, twelve-foot ceilings and two exhibition areas. The Main Gallery, at 1600 square feet, is devoted to larger shows. Gallery Two, at 350 square feet, features more intimate exhibitions, artist projects and new, young talent. Although exhibitions focus on contemporary painting, sculpture and photography by Canadians, the gallery occasionally hosts work by artists from the United States and Europe.
