Ligare Gallery Shanghai

“Ligare” is a Latin word which means to bind together or to connect something. “Ligare”gallery focuses on young and emerging artists from Japan, China and wherever in the world. Our task is to provide a place and chances to these artists. Also “Ligare” is origin of the English word “Religion”. We chose this name because this old building used to be a church. Now most of people have no clear religion, so some people say art can work as a kind of new religion. We hope this place can be a place toconnect artists and people, and people to people, by art.
