Moatti Fine Arts

Moatti Fine Arts specialises in Old Master paintings, sculptures and drawings, with a particular emphasis on French, Italian and Flemish works of art.

After several years in Paris and New York, Emmanuel Moatti is now running the business in the heart of St James, London. This venue will serve to stage a regular series of shows dedicated to works of Old Masters.

We encourage you to visit our new gallery, which is located on 6 Ryder Street. We are also pleased to advise clients on all aspects of conservation and restoration, as well as valuations for insurance or other purposes.

Moatti Fine Arts, specialised in Old Master paintings, sculptures and drawings, is pleased to announce the opening of its new gallery. After several years in Paris and New York, Emmanuel Moatti is now running the business in the heart of St James, London. This venue will serve to stage a series of shows dedicated to works of Old Masters, starting with the first Master Paintings Week (4 – 10 July 2009).

For this event, Moatti Fine Arts will showcase an array of important artworks. Highlights include a newly rediscovered flower piece in the Dutch tradition by the great still-life painter Van Dael, whose work was prized by the Parisian elite. A spectacular marble sculpture of Venus in pristine condition by the French sculptor Poncet will also be on show.

Emmanuel studied art history at the Courtauld Institute of Art and the Ecole du Louvre. Making use of his scholarly knowledge, he created in 1988 a department for Old Master paintings and drawings within his father’s sculpture gallery, Alain Moatti, while maintaining the tradition for market quality.
