Muse Gallery

We are a fine-art gallery specializing in mid-career, contemporary living artists.

These artists are carefully chosen from all over the World, to represent a common thread or feeling at Muse Gallery -- earthy, sensual, tactile and thought-provoking. These artists are of the maturity level to effectively communicate life experiences, travel, education and the mystery, question and debate of our present time. Without being overtly political, these artists are “discussing” more our internal selves, our preciousness, and our reactions to nature and the world around us.

Caren Petersen, the owner, has over 25 years experience as an art dealer, and Hali Robinson brings a fresh eye and modern approach to our selection process. We are constantly searching for and showing beautiful, well-crafted fine art.

We at Muse Gallery believe art-collecting should be a personal journey. We are passionate about the art we represent, and wish to convey that passion to your in your process of collecting. If we can help with your decision in any way, let us know.

Sare is a living, working artist originally born in Armenia and currently living in Columbus. She splits her time during the year between Columbus and France. Sare graduated with a degree in theatre and cinema design. As well as being represented by Muse Gallery, Sare is also represented by a gallery in Paris, France and Luxembourg. Last year, she launched a one-person exhibit at the Cultural Arts Center in Columbus, OH.

Sare’s work is a quirky and creative take on the human race, expressing humor and fault in each of her paintings, which she describes as “grotesque realism”. Her work is reminiscent of old masters style painting, representing these grotesque characters from the middle ages. They are fun, expressive, and playful characters; whether they are animals or humans alone or interacting with each other. Sare says the inspiration for her work comes from her large famil...
