Red Gate Gallery London

Red Gate Gallery is a non-for-profit, self-funded organisation that is dedicated to the continuous exposure of contemporary and diverse Art forms. It encompasses artists’ studios, a large gallery space suitable for installations, film projections, music performances, live gigs and exhibitions. Red Gate is located within a busy environment between Brixton & Camberwell. The gallery hosts regular events, exploring strands of thought provoking art. Having suddenly passed away in May 2009 at the age of 46, David Payne was an artist who wasn't driven by thoughts of being exhibited; he worked for the sheer enjoyment of creating work. This exhibition, arranged by his family and friends, serves as a tribute in his memory as well as giving everyone a last chance to see his vast and unique collection.

Agata Cardoso has been using photography as her primary medium since her studies at Art School. She photographs the female form and her subject matter lies within the many complexities of the female body and identity.

Lynn Todd is a sculptor whose work stems from her interest in the well-being of the human condition and its dependency on the interrelationships between the individual, the family, the community and the universal environment in which we exist. She draws on her own life experiences as a basis for her work.

Art Fairs

Calling All 2DArtists for London Vox - Deadline 15/10/09 – 5pm!
Red Gate Gallery is calling 2D a 3 week-long exhibition, London Vox at our premises in Camberwell/Brixton. The exhibition’s aim is to show a wide cross section of high quality contemporary 2D and 3D art work as part of a large group exhibition held in January/February 2010 (15/01 – 04/02/). We are particularly interested in artists living in London as the show’s topic is centred on how we experience and perceive London. The exhibition will be comprised of 1 image by each artist reflecting the topics outlined further down in the text.
All submission moneys received for London Vox will exclusively contribute to the promotion of the show. No moneys will be used as staff salaries.
Who We are Looking For:
We are looking for 10 two dimensional Artists
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR WORKS TO BE ACCEPTED
