ReDot Fine Art Gallery

ReDot Fine Art Gallery is the first and only dedicated Indigenous art gallery in Singapore and Asia-Pacific. Since 2004 it has been the region's definitive source of high-quality Indigenous art for the casual art buyer and collector alike. Representing Australia’s most acclaimed and significant indigenous artists, ReDot ensures all work are ethically sourced from centres owned and run for the benefit of the Aboriginal people.

Inherent in the enigmatic artworks is an exploration of a rich and diverse culture relatively unknown outside of the continent. The disappearing nomadic lifestyle and encroaching westernisation, has stripped away much of the community fibre that has bound these people to their land. Our goal is not only to provide Singapore with stunning and collectible artwork, but to ensure that the voice of the Aboriginal people endures to speak to future generations.

Following on from last year’s release of works from the estate of Paji Wajina Honeychild Yankarr, ReDot Fine Art Gallery is honoured and excited to be able to announce the estates and final works of three other senior women from the same community, the highly esteemed Wakartu Cory Surprise, Nyuju Stumpy Brown and Walka Molly Rogers.

Simply titled ‘Cory/Molly/Stumpy’, this exhibition will celebrate their amazing talents with works both on canvas and paper, dating back over 20 years, blatant records of desert country with the recurring theme being the Jila (waterhole) of various sites in the Great Sandy Desert which is one of the major ancestral areas for their people.

All three women were founding members of Mangkaja Arts Resource Agency in the early nineties and first exhibited work in the exhibition ‘Karrayili’ in Tandanya, Adelaide, 1991. They were also represented in ... [ Read all ]

The ReDot Fine Art Gallery is very proud to welcome the first ever exhibition in Singapore for the Spinifex Arts Project. Hailing from Tjuntjuntjara this incredibly remote community from the southern part of the Great Victoria Desert, where today some of the most significant Indigenous oeuvres are being produced, will be exhibited in to coincide and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ReDot Fine Art Gallery’s opening its doors in the Lion City.

The Spinifex Arts Project was established in 1997 as part of the ‘Native Title’ documentation process. Both native title paintings, a men’s and women’s collaborative work, documented the entire Spinifex area showing claimants birthplaces and important stories that traversed and gave form to the area.

These paintings were formally included in the preamble to the ‘Native Title’ agreement which was ratified before the Federal Court in N... [ Read all ]
