Gallery On The Move in collaboration with The Promenade Gallery
Opening September 12, 2012, h 19.00

Gallery On The Move presents Pipilotti Rist's "You Called Me Jacky" in collaboration with The Promenade Gallery in Vlora. Pipilotti Rist was born in 1962 in Grabs. Lives and works between Zurich and Somerset. After studying applied arts, illustration, photography and visual communication in Vienna and Basel, and founding the all-female klezmer pop band Les Reines Prochaines. Nominated for the Guggenheim’s Hugo Boss Prize NYC in 1998, in 2009 she won the Joan Miró Prize, She has also exhibited at Hayward Gallery London, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Fundació Joan Miró Ba... The same anger cynical beginnings of seems to accompany the artist also results in more 'recent: the auctioning of its work and the traveling exhibition of the skull are proof indiamantato more' obvious.
The Hit Parade art in recent years the ranks at the top of the standings. The public lines up neatly with the directives of the star realizing what 'that the makeup of that skull would have had to remove: the staging of death.

The attitude of Damien Hirst, desiring to delve deep in anything but a poetic surface (as he would like to convince us provocatively), seems to underlie t... [ Read all ]
