The Wonderwall Gallery

We are a contemporary art gallery based in a beautiful Elizabethan buuilding in historic Cirencester in Gloucestershire showing a wide range of accessible contemporary art. Original paintings, handmade original prints, ceramics, sculpture, glass and jewellery by leading artists from both the Cotswolds and across the UK are always on display and for sale.

Forthcoming Exhibitions

The Wonderwall Gallery in Cirencester opens its annual ‘Art of Cornwall’ exhibition on Saturday 9th October, featuring the work of some of the leading contemporary artists working in Cornwall.

This exciting exhibition includes new work by eight highly accomplished painters, including Jim Crouch, Suzy Sharpe, Nicholas St. John Rosse, Michael Hill and Chris Forsey.

Also in the exhibition are the paintings of the renowned Cornish artist David Gray. David used to be a boat designer and builder before turning to art full time in his later life. David is known for his vibrant, highly individual paintings, inspired by the Cornish landscape and seascape, working from his studio overlooking Falmouth Bay. Within his paintings he frequently includes material that has been ripped and torn for a distressed appearance which is then embedded in the base paint. Paint is then applied in many layers and refined in the final stages with outlines and details completing the painting.
