Vegas Gallery

Vegas Gallery, originally a project space created in 2007, is a contemporary art gallery situated in the heart of East London. VEGAS is proud to announce the relocation to a newly built space per 1 March 2011: 274 Poyser Street, London.

VEGAS focuses on a programme that showcases current works by international artists. Given the histories of the gallery’s initiators, the programme has been strongly oriented toward the promotion of Dutch, Norwegian and Swiss artists’ work through specific projects. However, since its evolution into a representing gallery, VEGAS now focuses on solo presentations and represents a roster of International artists and collaborates with foreign galleries to present a considered platform.

The Gallery is endorsed by MINIVEGAS, a multimedia Collective of Animation and Live Action directors, operating successfully within the media and advertising industry.

NATURE is a personal project of Jessica Carlisle's, for which she has selected a small group of artists for whom the natural world and its phenomena are a strong source of inspiration and influence.

Their work is variously bold, humorous, inquisitive and moving. These artists have no explicit agenda; they are simply inspired by nature’s mystery and beauty, its richness and complexity, its sheer strangeness. In its own way, each work helps us re-kindle that sense of awe and wonder for the natural world that should not be lost.

VEGAS likes to think it has its finger pretty firmly on this city’s creative pulse, keeping tabs on who’s who and what’s what, and this show represents what and who we think is worth seeing. This is a show specially designed for those visiting London at this busy time and will enable visitors to see the filtered and distilled product of all those studio powerhouses scattered across town. It aims to give an overview of some of London’s best talent, which might not otherwise get airtime.
