Galerie Flak

Galerie Flak is located 8 Rue des Beaux-Arts, Paris (6th arrondissement), France (in St Germain des Prés area).
The gallery was founded in 1990 by Edith and Roland Flak. Julien Flak joined the team in 2002.
Galerie Flak Art Tribal specializes in Ancient Tribal Arts from Africa, Oceania & North America. We pride ourselves in dealing in museum quality pieces with prestigious provenances. The gallery also deals in 19th century ethnographic photography and rare objects from Cabinets of Curiosities.
The gallery closely works with major ethnography museums around the world (Musée du Quai Branly in Paris, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, museums in Tahiti, Taiwan, Jerusalem, etc.).
Galerie Flak is an official member of ATADA (the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association) and is the official representative of the association in Europe.
The gallery offers a wide range of services to its private and corporate clients including:

Face to Face, secret masks, faces revealed.

A poetic and illuminating confrontation of ritual tribal masks and objects with hidden faces (ice-hockey masks, machine-tooling objects, initiation goggles, firemen head protectors, etc.). An encounter between the sacred and the profane, the past and the present, the ritual and the functional.
