Gallery Festic

The art gallery Festic is the result of life-long love of the beauty and sublime. Opening in 1988, the art gallery has grown from a humble beginning and was established as the only private gallery on Slovenian soil at that time.
The art gallery exhibits works by renowned artists of the Slovene statuary and fine arts along with some of the most eminent masters from former Yugoslavia. The art gallery Festić proudly and exclusively represents some of the greatest names in the art of painting.
As being among one of the most eminently respectable galleries in Slovenia, we are proud to maintain the largest private collection of works by renowned academical painters and sculptors. We hold and offer more than thousand exquisite works of classical and modern art.
Our activity is nowadays not solely the sale of artworks. We constantly fulfil our mission and promote and spot promising young talents, organise cultural exchanges between local and foreign artists and link together different cultures and traditions.
The acquisition of artworks has always been a subject of the intellectual circle of people. We must n... [ Read all ]

Previous Exhibitions

August 25th, 1992, marked the destruction of Sarajevo’s most famous landmark of the Austro-Hungarian era. The s. c. Vijećnica served as the National University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1947. On August 25th, the smoke from the grenades launched by the aggressor destroyed more than 90% of the library material, with over 2 million books, articles and other treasures lost forever. The destruction of Vijećnica meant the loss of invaluable books and cultural heritage as well as the destruction of a beautiful and cherished cultural monument.
As part of the In Memory of the Destruction of Vijećnica cultural event programme, the oldest square in Maribor will host an art exhibition. The Festić Gallery will act as the cultural bridge between Slovene and Bosnian artists by exhibiting a part of its rich permanent collection of works by renowned artists. The exhibition will bridge two different cultures, mentalities and gentle artistic souls, who have found a common existence in their artistic expression.
The beauty of art is oblivious to differences in skin colour, religious beliefs or nationality. In a time, when human c... [ Read all ]
