ST PAUL St Gallery

ST PAUL St is a suite of purpose built galleries and project spaces run by the School of Art and Design, AUT University. The programme of exhibitions, screenings, performances and events profiles both emerging and established artists and designers from New Zealand and internationally.

Since it was established in 2004 ST PAUL St Gallery has developed a strong programme, which has seen the Gallery develop into one of the leading university galleries in New Zealand and the foremost gallery for contemporary art and design in Auckland.

With a high curatorial profile and a blend of different exhibition schemes - ranging from one-night-shows to major group and solo exhibitions, from exhibitions which showcase internationally renowned artists to student and staff projects - the galleries offer a perfect opportunity for students, the arts community and the larger public to get in touch and become familiar with the diverse strands and currents in contemporary art and design practice. The 5th Auckland Triennial
10 May - 11 August 2013
The 5th Auckland Triennial, opens on 10 May at Auckland Art Gallery, ST PAUL St Gallery and six other sites, extending the Triennial’s reach across Auckland. Led by renowned curator Hou Hanru, If you were to live here... includes work by more than 30 New Zealand and international artists, collectives and architects. The international artists exhibiting at ST PAUL St are Ho Tzu Nyen (Singapore) and Shahzia Sikander (Pakistan).
