Whitecross Gallery

Whitecross Gallery opened in October 2006 and is a contemporary art space on the historic EC1 market street of the same name. We are conveniently situated near the City of London, between the Barbican Centre and the thoroughfare of Old Street.

Whitecross Gallery seeks to promote and showcase the most exciting and imaginative talent on the international art circuit. We particularly focus on providing opportunities for emerging artists, recent graduates, and those creating diverse art forms, who do not necessarily receive the attention that we feel they deserve, making innovative artwork of all varieties accessible to the public and local city collectors.

Director Francesco Petillo ensures that each 4-5 weekly exhibition occupies the space within a totally different layout and atmosphere. This reflects a curatorial ethos where artists are selected for their integrity and sensitivity to materials, texture and form, presenting work that is both visually stunning and critically engaging.
