Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery

The Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery was built in 1957 in memory of Swedish-American Artist and Educator Birger Sandzen. The Gallery has the largest collection of artwork by Sandzen and is dedicated to exhibiting works from the collections and guest artists.

Artists Represented

Primarily featuring the artwork of Birger Sandzen. Also exhibited are works collected by the Sandzen family and the Gallery. Notable artists include: Marsden Hartley, Henry Varnum Poor, John Stuert Curry, B.J.O. Nordfeldt, Lester Raymer, Gene Kloss and Margaret Sandzen Greenough.
