flow, a new art fair, premiers in Miami from December 6 - 10 2006. Organized by art dealers Matthew Garson of M% from Cleveland , Ohio and Julie Baker of Julie Baker Fine Art of Nevada City, CA, flow was formed to fill the gap between the Blue Chip dealers who exhibit at Art Basel and the younger galleries who exhibit at existing satellite fairs. Our host, The Spy Lounge at The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club, located at 1756 Collins Avenue is just one of the many hotels in the area hosting fairs simultaneously. flow is conveniently located 2 blocks from the Miami Convention Center , home to Art Basel, and across from many of Miami 's top hotels including the Delano and the Sagamore.

flow is an attitude free-fair. The flow philosophy is that collecting art should be fun and approachable not stuffy and exclusive. The dealer's commitment to work together creates a community where one can experience the purity of art. flow is free and open to the public. Everyday from 6 to 8pm please join us for our complimentary cocktail hour and try our signature cocktail the flowtini.

flow's opening night, Wednesday, December 6 from 6 to 10pm will feature an exclusive multi media performance by artist Janet Biggs performing "Hit Me
With Your Rhythm Stick" at 9pm. The performance will take place in the
lobby and by the pool and includes live percussion, Olympic synchronized swimmers and projected video, approximate runtime 15 minutes. The performance & installation are brought to you by: flow and Claire Oliver Gallery . There will be an encore performance Thursday December 7th at 9:00pm. Janet has a show currently at Clair Oliver and recently completed a project with Hermes.

flow also presents a performance by Jason Hackenwerth, Made entirely of balloons, he creates these Megamites equipped with dozens of spear like appendages that launce like missiles. It uses its guiles to lure anyone and anything that turns it on. With elaborate and colorful peacock like plumage, the Megamite is powerfully attractive. Nearly all who encounter it are rendered spellbound. Even the most conservative of people may be
compelled to cop a feel or at least take a picture. Hackenwerth will
create six Megamite wearable sculptures as well as a huge dragon like sculpture called "Scorpiodon" that will float in the air and video tape everything. He will be appearing daily at flow and throughout Miami with his Megamite Army.
