Current Exhibitions - Untitled [ArtSpace]

Art 365: An exhibition of six artists who worked for a year under a grant from the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.
Art 365 :: Artist Panel
April 10, 6:30 pm

Untitled [ArtSpace] will host a panel discussion on April 10 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm with “Art 365” artists Betsy Barnum, Joseph Daun, and Ashley Griffith. The artists will discuss their work and experiences with “Art 365,” an exhibition sponsored by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition in which each artist was given a $10,000 honorarium and 365 days to create a new body of work. Barnum made a series of autobiographical prints, Daun constructed two interactive sculptures, and Griffith crafted grids of the photographs she took during the year.

Untitled [ArtSpace] is a not-for-profit arts organization in downtown Oklahoma City committed to stimulating new ideas and creative thought through contemporary art. Untitled [ArtSpace] is dedicated to providing access to quality exhibitions, educational programs, performances, and publications and to involving the community in collaborative outreach efforts. Untitled ArtSpace’s exhibitions are free and open to the public Tues-Thurs 11 am–6 pm, Fri 11 am–8 pm, and Sat 11 am–4 pm.

Flute Duet
April 11, 6 pm – 7 pm

Untitled [ArtSpace] will host a free performance by flautists Sundra Flansburg and Dr. Susan Hakel. Visitors will be welcome to come and go during their performance and walk around the gallery while viewing “Art 365,” the current exhibit at Untitled [ArtSpace]. Flansburg and Hakel have been playing together for several years and will be performing Jacques-Christophe Naudot sonatas from the early 18th century.

Art 365 :: Artist Panel
April 17, 6:30 pm

Untitled [ArtSpace] will host a panel discussion on April 17 at 6:30 pm with “Art 365” artists Sarah Atlee, Liz Roth, and Live4This. The artists will discuss their work and experiences with “Art 365,” an exhibition sponsored by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition in which each artist was given a $10,000 honorarium and 365 days to create a new body of work. Atlee painted portraits of people inspired by Oklahoma place names and Roth painted 100 miniature landscapes of all 50 states. Live4This is a collaborative effort by Tulsa artists Darshan Philips and Aaron Whisner exploring childhood through prints and installation.

A Touch of Class String Quartet
April 18, 7 pm – 8 pm

Untitled [ArtSpace] will host a free performance by A Touch of Class String Quartet on April 18 from 7 pm to 8 pm. The quartet includes Mary Skidmore, Phyllis Klein, Bill Thompson, and Meg Koerner. A Touch of Class String Quartet has existed for many years and all of its members have been a part of the Oklahoma Community Orchestra. Their performance at Untitled [ArtSpace] will range from popular classical to music from films and the stage. Visitors can either sit and listen or wander the gallery while enjoying a variety of musical selections, including pieces from Mozart's The Magic Flute, Handel's The Water Music, Fiddler on the Roof, and Phantom of the Opera.

Art 365 :: Closing Reception
April 26, 5 pm – 8 pm

Untitled [ArtSpace] will host a closing reception on April 26 from 5 pm to 8 pm for “Art 365” with a film screening and catalog debut. “Art 365” is an exhibition featuring Oklahoma artists Sarah Atlee, Betsy Barnum, Joseph Daun, Ashley Griffith, Liz Roth, Darshan Philips, and Aaron Whisner. Each artist was selected from a statewide call for proposals by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC). The film screening will be of a documentary of the exhibit from its creation to its opening.
