Gallery/Dealer Details - Roberta Lietti Arte Contemporanea

Roberta Lietti Arte Contemporanea originates in Como in 1990 as the only reference point for Visual Art, and follows from the beginning Contemporary Art and Italian and International Vanguards.
Among the noumerous events promoted by the gallery, we can mention exhibitions about Mario Schifano (the 60’s) – Ron Arad - Jenny Watson - Aldo Mondino - Alighiero Boetti – the New American Abstraction with Peter Halley, Nick Howey, Charles Clough, Steven Ellis - Pat Steir, Lydia Dona, Catherine Lee, Suzanne McClelland and Jessica Stockholder.
Moreover the attention of the gallery is focused, thanks to the close collaboration with the Order of Architects of Province of Como, on the in-depth examination of the integration of different arts: architecture, design, visual art, with particular interest for historical experiences of 1900 in Como (the Rationalism with important artists such as Terragni, Cattaneo, Rho, Radice, Galli, Badiali) and successively with the interdisciplinary experiences of Ico Parisi and Bruno Munari.
To these main themes we also have to add the particular interest for new Italian and International artistic experiences both in the field of pictorical research (Federico Guida, Davide Nido, Harding Meyer, Elisabeth Scherffig ) and in the sphere of design with artists as Ron Arad and Tarshito, and also in the area of photography (N. Araki, T. Shibata, H.Sugimoto, Gabriele Basilico and the younger Giacomo Costa and Marina Giannobi).
Several are the cultural events conceived by the gallery in the public field: as an example for all, we can consider the light installation “Unreal City ” realised by Mario Merz on Porta Torre (the main access to the historical center of the city of Como) in 2000, on the occasion of the celebrations for the bicentenary of the torch of Volta.
