PROMPTS & TRIGGERS
26 April 2012 – 6 January 2013
A series of propositions and a discursive program.
Opening: Thursday 26 April 2012, from 5 pm to 8 pm

Prompts & Triggers is a series of propositions by visual artists from across the globe that activates reflections on the notion of civilization and enables possibilities for comparative readings. Presented in the form of installations, library projects and a discursive program, this multitude of propositions broaches pertinent topics in contemporary societies that pertain to the current European context, such as religion or the emergence of China in the global economy. Prompts & Triggers invites visitors to join in a new shared cultural ritual in which dialogue is pivotal.
Prompts & Triggers begins on 26 April 2012 with Meriç Algün Ringborg’s work Line No. 2 (Holy Bible), (2012) followed by Qiu Zhijie’s Blueprints (2012) opening on 28 June 2012. Prompts & Triggers continues in August 2012 with further propositions by different artists.
